A total of nine forums have been convened across the state, from Albury in the South to Ballina in the North, under this joint initiative between ACWA and FACS.
These forums have been well attended and there are plans to potentially hold more in the new year. In the meantime, upcoming forums scheduled for the remainder of 2017 include:
Sydney (Ashfield): October 19
Dubbo: November 2
Sydney (Parramatta): November 30
Broken Hill: December 12
As a child or young person’s representative, caseworkers will be responsible for undertaking a number of actions throughout the NDIS access, planning, monitoring and review process, so it is important the sector is kept well informed of their responsibilities to ensure the best possible supports are in place for children and young people in out-of-home care.
If you have missed out on a forum in your area we are hoping to arrange a video recording of the core content, and will keep you posted.
