CareSouth Chief Executive Officer Debra Tozer is a dynamic leader with many years of experience in the Community Sector. Deb is responsible for all the operations of a diverse organisation across a rapidly expanding regional footprint in NSW. Deb is leading CareSouth through a time of great change in the community services sector and across a number of different program areas.<br<br>
Debra’s knowledge and experience positions CareSouth for success through her active participation in community partnerships. A key leadership role CareSouth has undertaken is the Co Chair of our Regional Implementation Groups, supporting agencies across the Southern and Western Regions.
Since Debra commenced as CEO three years ago, CareSouth has undergone both a rebrand and a restructure that have significantly strengthened the organisation for the future. Debra enjoys the full support of a Board of Directors who share her vision to create a positive future for children, young people, individuals, families and communities by providing opportunities that enhance their quality of life.
In a first for a charity organisation, Debra won the Business Leader Award at the 2014 Shoalhaven Business Awards. CareSouth was also a Finalist in the Excellence in Business and Innovation Award categories. In 2013, Debra received a highly commended in the Business Leader category.
Debra is much loved by CareSouth staff as an approachable and supportive leader who inspires all around her to think outside the box. Debra’s continued presence on the Board of Directors for the Australian Children’s Welfare Agency (ACWA) would provide further opportunities to share her knowledge, experience and innovative approach for engagement at a strategic level in the sector.
