Jenny was recently appointed as the Executive Manager of Child, Youth and Family Services for Anglicare NSW West, NSW South and ACT. This involves the oversight of 350 children in out of home care in NSW; early intervention services in regional NSW; and youth services in NSW and the ACT. Prior to this I was Anglicare’s Director of Community Services ACT for 5 years, overseeing early learning centres, disability and youth services.
Jenny has a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Sociology, a Bachelor of Social Work and an MBA. She has worked in South Australia, NSW and the ACT in senior management roles both in the community sector and government. Jenny was the ACT Director of Barnardos for 13 years and then moved to a Senior Executive position in ACT government overseeing out of home care, early learning, youth and family support services.
For the past 4 years Jenny has been the President of the ACT Council of Social Service and previously a member of numerous community and government boards and management committees.
Her experience in community and government agencies, plus her board experience brings valuable insights and guidance to the ACWA Board. Having participated in significant changes in the child welfare sector over 25 years, she believe this equips her to be a contributing board member. Underpinning this is a commitment to improving the rights of children and young people who are touched by the child welfare system.
