Claerwen Little, JP, Master Policy (SocPol) Hons, Graduate, Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). Claerwen Little is the Director, UnitingCare Children, Young People and Families (CYPF), a Service Group of UnitingCare NSW.ACT. As Director, Claerwen is responsible for the leadership and management of CYPF as a complex and fast growing organization with a budget of over $100 million and over 1000 staff.
Claerwen has worked in the community sector for over 35 years. She has worked in a number of areas of service provision including with young people at risk, people with an intellectual disability, community development, and managing a range of child and family services. Claerwen has been working for UnitingCare since 1991 and established the advocacy and research arm for the organisation. She has been in senior executive roles for the past 22 years, and in her current role as Director since 2012.
Claerwen is passionate and committed to righting the wrongs done to the first peoples of this country. She has played a crucial role in helping develop and grow UnitingCare CYPF's Aboriginal Services and Development unit Jaanimili.
Claerwen is currently a member of several boards and steering committees including; Ministerial Advisory Group on Transition of Out of Home Care, UnitingCare Australia National Committee, Chairperson of the UnitingCare Australia Children, Young People and Families Network, Deputy Chairperson of the Association of Children's Welfare Agencies (ACWA) and Chair of the Steering Committee for the Newpin Social Benefit Bonds.
