Leadership Program Ignites Student Brain Power

While delegates were learning about the latest in child and family welfare practice at ACWA’s conference last week, there was plenty of cognitive activity taking place back at ACWA headquarters as our 2018 Community Leadership Program class took part in the latest session, Igniting Brains for Leadership, in their seven month leadership and development journey.

The three-day workshop, led by dynamic executive coach Maryanne Perry, proved to be an informative and empowering experience for this year’s cohort.

Using the latest in neuroscience research, the participants explored with Maryanne new tools to enable them to make positive decisions and build self-confidence.

“Understanding how our brain operates carries great potential for leaders to improve collaboration and performance,” Maryanne said.

Upcoming topics to be explored by the class include Leading an Ethical Team and Coaching for Performance.
