ACWA Legal Forum: Being Prepared for Contracting With the Department

With tendering now in full swing in NSW for new outcomes based out-of-home care contracts, foster care and residential care agencies are being presented a unique opportunity to scrutinise legal contracting issues with some of the best lawyers in the business.

In a legal forum to be hosted by ACWA on Wednesday May 17, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm, Luke Geary (Salvos Legal) and Vera Visevic (Mills Oakley) will team up with agencies to dissect the challenges and develop practical solutions to contracting issues. Luke and Vera have immense NFP-Government contracting experience.

This special forum follows on from the success of ACWA’s two recent legal events, the NCAT Forum and Children’s Court Forum, both of which attracted full houses and provided out-of-home care agencies valuable insights.

ACWA’s Member Legal Services Panel will be on display again at this forum. The Panel was established so members could access specialist lawyers at critical times in the business cycle (such as now), and at a reasonable price. Both Salvos Legal and Mills Oakley are committed ACWA panel firms: champions for our sector and available to be directly engaged by members. This free event is also an opportunity for members to better understand this risk management resource.

Spaces are limited so please register by May 15. More information can be found on the forum flyer.
