A happy, fun filled picnic day under a beautiful blue sky was the perfect way to finish up this year’s Foster Care Week celebrations.
Around 900 foster carers, children and volunteers turned out to Sunday’s event, which was held at the University of Western Sydney’s Bankstown Campus. This year’s ‘Mad Hatter’ theme was widely embraced, with many turning out in home made hats and creations of all shapes and sizes.
It was a wonderful day focused on fun and family, and ACWA extend a huge thanks to all the agency staff who joined in to help us make it a special day for foster families. We couldn’t have done it without you.
