Shining a Light on CAFWAA: National Advocacy in Action

As a proud Board member of the Child and Family Wellbeing Association of Australia (CAFWAA), ACWA is committed to working in partnership with peak bodies across the country to advocate for better outcomes for children, young people, and families.

CAFWAA is a national alliance of child and family sector peaks representing the interests of children and families across all states and territories. While it remains an unfunded body, its impact is driven by the shared expertise and collaborative efforts of its members, and ACWA is proud to contribute to that collective strength.

One of the key ways we engage in this national advocacy is through joint submissions to federal inquiries and consultations, ensuring the voices of vulnerable children and families are heard at the highest levels of decision-making.

Most recently, ACWA contributed to two significant CAFWAA led submissions:

CAFWAA’s submission to the Australian Institute of Family Studies
CAFWAA’s submission to the Australian Department of Health on Youth Mental Health

hese submissions highlight shared priorities across states and territories, helping push for real change in national child and family policy.
