Snapshot of child protection services around Australia
The Australian Productivity Commission released an annual Report on Government Services (RoGS) late last year, providing information on the efficiency and effectiveness of government services across Australia.
ACWA has reviewed the 2025 RoGS data on child protection services, and summarised some of the key statistics in this report (link). While our focus is on NSW data (current and over time), we have included data from other jurisdictions where possible.
Our report provides graphical representation of available data. We hope that this snapshot will encourage readers to explore and analyse the RoGS data further, and inform discussions about how we can collectively continue improving policy and practice in NSW to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.
