Attention caseworkers and carers!
The Why Not You Project is seeking young people in year 9 and 10 with a care experience who may be interested in attending a University Experience Day at the University of Technology, Sydney on July 26.
Delivered by university staff and students, this FREE University Experience Day will be tailored directly for students in out-of-home care to encourage them to think about higher education. Students will be able to experience campus life, access world class facilities, learn coding and 3D modelling, and will have the opportunity to 3D print their own designs. The students will be fully and appropriately supervised during all activities. Lunch, morning tea and UTS merchandise will be provided.
Carers and caseworkers are more than welcome. While the kids are exploring the campus, the Why Not You Project will run a workshop aimed to help equip carers and caseworkers to support young people in their care to access higher education. This workshop will run 11:30-1pm.
RSVP with your interest by 21st July to aglushko@whynotyouproject.com
